What is Veg Fest?

Veg Fest is the inter-school growing competition run by Groundwork East that promotes healthy eating by giving students the experience of growing their own fruit and vegetables in their school grounds.

The project runs throughout the growing season, culminating in a celebration event that’s packed full of fun activities! Schools participating bring along their fresh produce, recipes and journals that will be judged by an expert panel, with lots of prizes up for grabs!

During the project, Groundwork will support each school to set up and run their own growing club, help run growing sessions, and provide a growing kit.
